The Big Rush ride accommodates 20 passengers aboard a single vessel, which travels through a meticulously constructed waterway. Unlike thrilling mechanical rides such as roller coasters, the Big Rush is a water-based attraction: a chain lifts the boat to the top of a steep incline, after which the vessel hurtles down, plunging into the water and sending spray flying. Riders experience a degree of weightlessness and get thoroughly soaked by the splashes they create themselves in the basin at the base of the slope—making the entire experience both exhilarating and highly entertaining.
